Nuuksio National Park during week 35, between 27.8.-2.9.2018.
This is the last week of the real summer months, though luckily for us, the weather looks to be as good as in the middle of summer. Sunshine and partly cloudy warm days, but not hot like it has been this summer. Lingonberries are getting ripe and there might be some mushrooms after the rains. This is a great time to go enjoy the forest.
A new month starts from saturday, Syyskuu in Finnish, which literally translates to “fall month”. There are some signs of the summer ending and the fall beginning, but it’s only just starting here in Southern Finland.
Temperatures: Days from +18°C to +22°C; nights around +10°C
Rain: Probably not
Wind: Pretty calm
Trail conditions: A bit wet at the beginning of the week, dry at the end
You can check the weather forecast for Nuuksio National Park on Finnish Meteorological Institute’s website.
Season: End of summer, beginning of fall
